This Moving Body

I teach yoga to help the body, heart and mind find stillness, spaciousness, and ease.

These are quiet, contemplative classes. Yoga has a very rich and complex history, with lots of variations – body practices are only one part of it. I mainly teach about movement, breath and attention with meditative and ethical aspects woven into this. These are quiet, contemplative classes.

This is an inside-out practice. You’ll have lots of options in class, with supports such as chairs and blankets, and you’ll work at your own pace. The focus is on exploring and learning from your own direct experiences, not on trying to achieve some external ideal.

These classes offer explorations for body posture, movement and attention. They are not vigorous exercise, but a way of cultivating awareness through the body. You will be encouraged to follow your own capacity and possibilities at the time, without any pressure to perform. Options are always offered for different needs and preferences.

Information for joining

  • A good internet connection on a computer (not phone)
  • A quiet space with some room to move, where you will not be disturbed
  • A yoga or exercise mat
  • A chair (ideally without arms)
  • Two or three blankets
  • One or two cushions
  • Something to cover your eyes during resting
  • A notebook and pen
  • Water to drink

These classes are online on video call. I will send a link on booking.

Fee for each class is £15, paid by bank transfer. If you wish to pay more or less for any reason, you are welcome to do so. I will send payment information on booking.
