Touching Health

Rest & relief from fatigue & pain

Integrative Craniosacral

Inner Balance

I offer personal sessions for people struggling with fatigue, overwhelm or pain. I help them find deep rest and relief from tension.

Sessions include sensitive touch, specific kinds of attention, movement and dialogue which engages the body’s wisdom and innate healing capacity. This supports the underlying foundation of health, which includes biological, emotional, mental and energetic aspects. Through this work we can find rest and ease in the body, and insights can also arise – about what we have, need or desire, habits or experiences, and what we need to change to take care of ourselves.

Further Information

Craniosacral practice or therapy is a holistic health practice that uses specific kinds of touch and attention to help us find health from within. It developed from osteopathy and is also informed by contemporary understandings of neuroscience, energy medicine and other knowledges. It is body-based while including all aspects of a person. Dialogue and communication is also an essential aspect of this work.

In sessions we listen to the story of your body, and help you connect to what is beneficial and true for you. This is a gradual process, it takes time to develop. It supports the basic foundation of health, which can become injured and depleted due to various influences. It helps to restore balance and increase health overall. Many symptoms are thus suitable for treatment.

Before meeting we will first agree by email or a call if this work is suitable for you. Please contact me to discuss your needs. You are very welcome to come for one or two initial sessions to see if this work is a good fit for you for you. After this, we commit to regular sessions 1-4 weeks apart.

In sessions, we will agree on the priorities for our time together and you will be asked to lie down on a treatment couch, in your ordinary clothes without shoes. Please dress comfortably.

I will place my hands on various parts of your body, always with your permission. The contact will usually be very light. We we will also speak about what is happening. I welcome feedback and questions at any time, good communication helps us collaborate well.

People describe their experience during treatments with words like: deep rest, decompressing, release, at ease, still, quiet, flowing, spacious.

Immediately afterwards you may feel spacious, relaxed and more aware of your body. You may be more tired or energised. It is helpful to listen to these requests from the body, and rest or move as needed.

Sometimes old body symptoms or emotions come to the surface, to be released with care. Much of the change happens in between treatments. I invite clients to keep in touch between sessions when it feels helpful.

Craniosacral practice is not only a relaxing event; it can take time to develop and for health to build gradually. You are welcome to come for one or two initial treatments to see if my work is right for you. If you are happy to continue, sessions take place 1-4 weeks apart.
